Their story began the summer of 2012. They split nachos, he held her hand and they danced the night away at a Santigold concert. All those elements made for the perfect date for this sweet couple. Fast forward to June 2014, a surprise camping trip to North South Lake with an antique engagement ring marked a milestone in their relationship! Since they loved being outdoors and wanted engagement photos that reminded them of their neighborhood, it was no surprise that Prospect Park was the ideal location for Beth and Matt’s engagement session.
I love how open this part of Prospect Park is, perfect starting point for this engagement session.
Most couples need time to warm up to the camera, but Beth and Matt were naturals.
That connect and that light, could not have been more perfect!
They decided to take a quiet stroll towards the Boathouse on the Lullwater of the Lake.
We were so lucky to have the Boathouse to ourselves!
Since they had the boathouse to themselves, they decided to have some fun!
As we were getting ready to head to our final location in Prospect Park, I found Beth and Matt sharing a quiet moment.
A musician was serenading bystanders, so they decided to have a practice run at their first dance.
Beth and Matt’s engagement session ended with spontaneous dancing in the LeFrak Center’s Lakeside Splash Pad.
